Project 8 - Metal Bracelet

There was a lot of hammering and drilling involved with this one. Though for Deryn’s summer Jewelry challenge it is worth it, because look what I got out of this project.
Such a great mixture of metal. The center piece of the bracelet is not quite finished yet. I created a bezel. I’m not sure how I want to finish it off or leave it as is. I have a few ideas: stamp a short word into the solder, fill the bezel with plaster and create a design then seal it or create a collage for the bottom and fill with resin. I may just have to make a couple more so I can have one of each.

I am having so much fun with these projects. It is sparking new ideas and other projects.

Well, keep plugging away.

Wow! This piece is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to see how you choose to fill the bezel - great job!

They just keep getting cooler, Melissa - i love this bracelet! I'm also vastly jealous that I don't know how to work with metals yet. But that's okay - I still have PLENTY on my plate!

I stumbled across your blog. I used to make necklaces and this makes me want to get back into it! I was never brave enough to do metal though! Love your blog!
