Time for Project 1

So know that I am all caught up with my swaps and other tasks. I got to do a lot of playing, creating, this holiday weekend. It’s amazing what a difference that extra day makes.
I have wanted to participate and get started on the jewelry challenge that Deryn Medtock is having this summer. It is taking the projects/techniques from Mary Hettmansperger’s new book Wrap, Stitch, Fold and Rivit and making them your own.
So over this weekend I was able to work on the first project “Stacked Spinner Necklace”. This is what I created using most of the techniques.

Terrific! I like the way you sandwiched the bead stick in there...

Melissa -

Great job on the first project! I love the texture you created and the beautiful bead colors you chose. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

I like your use of the beads in this piece, also. I'll bet this has great movement when you wear it!
